Sad story. Assistance Needed.  [Nov. 18th 2005]



  The Late, Eva Nyaboke Asande is a sister to a friend, Marcella Asande, of Fort Worth, Texas. The medical bill including the funeral cost is an estimated , U$ 11,000.

  As of today Nov. 17th, informattion from Marcella is that, the hospital in Kenya has refused to release the body, until the bill is paid. Let’s kindly help our sister, Marcella, during this grieving period.


Eulogy for Evalyne Nyaboke:
Born 18th July 1974 – Died 2nd November 2005

  Eva as she was popularly known by her, parents, brother, sister, relatives and friends and peers was born on the 17th July of 1974. She led a really active life going to school at Langata west and Barracks primary schools in Nairobi. She later on went to Sironga Girls high school where she graduated for her high school certificate in 1993.

  She went for further training in media production which resulted in her being recruited by the Adventist Media Services in Nairobi for their radio broadcasting. In 1999 she was nominated to travel to Cambodia where she also dolled a kindergarten school teacher in various SDA sponsored Missionary schools here. Her humble, kind, honest and trustful disposition made her services especially for guest speaker so much in demand. She thus got invitations to speak and teach
in Thailand, Vietnam and several other countries in Asia.

  In East Africa, especially in Uganda and Tanzania, she was well known as a motivator speaker, whose efforts really encouraged and gave hope to those distressed spiritually. In October last year, Eva was diagnosed with a rare case of cancer known as Lyomysercoma. This kind of cancer grows as very rapidly and is known to cause lots of damage to body organs. She was expected to undergo an operation to as soon as possible remove the tumor then thereafter undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy to kill whatever cells that would remain.

  Unfortunately this was done in February because, in the month of December we lost our elder brother Kennedy Mong’are. Thus the operation was deferred to February. In February of this year, the operation was successfully carried out and the doctors were happy with her recuperation process. However, in June she began developing some abdominal pains once again. On examination, it was discovered that the tumor had re-grown and she required another operation to remove the new growth. This was done in July when the doctors successfully de-bulked the mass. However she soon developed complications as her was got blocked thus necessitating her to use a catheter. She also developed another complication: her left kidney collapsed! It thus became difficult to administer medication as the remaining kidney too would collapse. She has been in this position since late July till she died at 5.30pm on Wednesday the 2nd of November.

  May the almighty put her soul in internal peace.
